My next rebuilds, the 64 Merc is soaking and parts for the 62 Plymouth will be hard to find if I do not trade it and might have parts located for the truck
Revell Model A coupe with a heavy chop and 32 3w windshield and header grafted in. Also pinched the front of the frame.
I'm looking for a couple of sets of the hot rod style louvers, that come in the Revell '32 Roadster kit. Doesn't anyone have some, or any other louvers, they would like to part company with?
Painted the white walls by holding a circle template against the tire and carefully airbrushing Tamiya acrylic flat white.
Great stuff, Dan. Just got a McMullen roadster at estate auction and it needs windshield repair. And when I saw all the '58's that Mick posted on the Kustom Blues thread, I thought the same as you ... I need to build a '58 model. The Doss car is killer. Good luck. I'm kinda liking the red one with the 60 Merc grill ...
Here's an oldie but a goodie. I finished this in the early 90's and gave it to the owner of the real car. Used an AMT 56 Vicky body, mated it with the roof/tailgate of an early (rough) resin cast Parklane Wagon from Wheat's Nostagia. Scratch built the "B" pillar, the rear quarter top trim. Used '55 headlight bezels from a Danbury Mint Crown Vic. As happens, it got dropped while dusting. The rear bumper came off and has been re-glued upside down, to explain the glue spot on the lower quarter.
Nice score and repair on the 32 Dan. While the 1/24th and 1/25th scale vehicles may look close in scale when it comes to the small parts, it can sometimes be a challenge. Your post reminded me that I have a Danbury Waldorf Nomad Corvette that is still missing a left front bumper. I will again continue my search when I see other diecast and plastic models. I also have been saving a variety of model kit parts that I use for repair or customizing projects.
More 60s models I picked up today, the box is for one I got a couple weeks ago and has the missing front bumper. I do not have to look as these seem to find me.
Working on the thrift store F 100, painting the chassis and interior along with piecing together a correct Y block from two engines. Not touching the paint on the body and had to use a car trans since the chassis had been cut out where the trans attaches, the missing tail lights were still attached to the windows.
