Technical Are 1939 coupe and 1938 ford coupe exterior moldings common?

Building a 38 coupe tail dragger and need exterior stainless. Are 39 and 38 coupe interchangable?


Anyone have a source for SS moldings/trim?

 

No the stainless is different. '38 has a rounded shape and '39 has a peak in the center. I was able to buy reproduction door stainless for my '39 from Bob Drake, probably no longer available.

 

Are the body curves the same?

 

Look up some pictures. 39 trim goes below the belt reveal, the 38 goes above.

 

Any idea where I could by them?
