Watched A.G. On Netflix today and on one of the promo shots it shows a killer blue maybe 56 Ford…didn’t see it in the movie. Anyone have any info on the car?

I have watched American Graffiti way too many times. Never saw the 56 Ford at all.
I'm going to say it was not in the movie.

On Netflix, in the thread “50 years ago” or similar, it was mentioned it was currently on Netflix. Yes, I asked my remote to find it and watched it:)

What year is it? I’m clueless on that era of Ford?

Edit: just expanded the article posted. Says Buick.

I knew about the Toyota but you had me thinking I was nuts calling a Buick a Ford! Thanks for the scare!

Notice the TTs and blackwalls in the pic with Debbie & Toad. Wider than what might have been on a street car in '62. But at least it wasn't with the raised white letter '70s rubber. The prism sticker now, must say it's late '60's at the oldest. I like the car.

Agreed…TT’s without the raised white letters looks way better…

...I still have some of that "prism" tape around here somewhere. It was the hot lick in '70's.:D

I think the promo pics were probably done long after filming by the studio. Unfortunatly with less care to historical accuracy as the original producers. Not the first time this has happened.

I used to have the official sound track on c***ette tape with the Wolfman Jack intros to the tracks, played it in the car till the tape went bad. I was looking for it on spotify recently but all the albums reporting to be the sound track but are in fact compilations without the Wolfman Jack on.

'Ol Curt was a little out of his league with the boys that night. Best that he got on the plane in the morning.

I am wondering how many out there are thinking of making the trek to Petaluma for the 50th reunion? Probably the best and one of the last chances to see and pay tribute to the remaining cars and cast.
Saturday May 20th the main cruise and Friday the 19th informal cruise gathering.
