What a bunch of whiney, *****y old women you guys sound like. Take a Midol for your cramps, or whatever it is that controls hot flashes and mood swings if you're past your prime, and don't worry about what Ford and Dearborn Deuce are doing. So a bunch of rich guys are going to buy these special edition cars. Who cares? Some people like our style of cars, other people like their style of cars. Some people can barely afford to build what they want on their own, other people spent all their free time building a business and making money, so they could pay someone to build what they can't.

What the hell is the deal with this Hot Rod Culture War, anyway? "Waaaaaa....They've got more money than I do....Waaaaaaa....They don't have the style and taste that I do....Waaaaaa....They aren't "keepin it real" like I do....Waaaaaa...." Who cares?

In this case, the people who care are the kids who are going to be helped by the money this is going to raise, Dearborn Deuce will really cement its existence, and a lot of aftermarket companies are going to have a good couple of years. Which means, they're going to be able to re-invest in new product, that...gasp!...we'll benefit from. Yeah, this whole thing is just ****ing terrible.

And I don't think ol' Henry had a sentimental bone in his body. He wouldn't give a ****. He was a business man, plain and simple.

I think its a great idea, even if the cars never get driven or used or even shown. Its ONE more car in this world that came into it as a '32 Ford vs. a 2007 Kia.

Give the man a prize, best post in the whole thread. And I believe there will be a few rodders that will buy one. Leno, comes to mind (Yes, I consider him a rodder).

Throw this idea out to FoMoCo.
How about building a traditional style 21 stud Brookville bodied,ADS railed version just to throw in the mix & have Edsel sign that one, since it would be more true to tradition. Bet ya that one would fetch 3 times the money & would still appreciate in value just because of its Ford Family connection.
BTW, Did you guys read who was gonna be there @ the auction?=Paul (John Milner) LeMat himself.
What perfect place to present him a HAMB car representing the 75th anni of the Deuce that his character made famous thorugh his acting.
    That would steal the show!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. I'm gonna agree with Brad...Who cares!...there is always gonna be a demand for 32's...customs rides or not.. If you don't like them... don't buy one...Maybe you might recognize the charity that's benefiting as well...You could also think of it this way to...the yuppie rodders wont be buying up the real steel 32's, therefore you should be glad they are gonna be buildin these. But I'm sure the snivlers will find somthing new to hate and ***** about....

I could give a ****ing **** what they buy, means jack **** to me. You all ***** about the guys who are out there with rides by boyd and foose. This is no different.....well it is i guess in that it raises money for charity. HOW CAN YOU CALL THIS A 32 WHEN IT IS BUILD IN 2006? Sorry, i dont buy it......even if i had a spare 100g to drop....i'd buy a willys g***er. Sure a the big boys will be there to buy them.....

Funny Shelby built the gt-h anniversary edition and called it a 2006, make it a repop 32 and it is?????

    Would be cool Kevin.

I saw your other post on the subject.
    I'm in.

From the other side of the planet a donation is the way to go, but if all HAMBers with a rodding heart chipped in on some smaller amount, we could pay back for the influence and dreams Paul made in our heads.

Have no number for the times I watched it between my 15 and 25th turn around the moon. MANY. I CAN ***URE YA!!!!!!

    Gather the crowd.

On the New Deuce subject I'm with Brad 54. Couldn't care less.

How'd you know mine was Blitz Black?

  12. When I was in Detroit, I went to Greenfield Village and took the little Model T tour of the village... It was in a 27 Touring. The girl that was driving said that most of the other T's were built for the 100th anniversary and not street legal or licenseable since they were built in 2000 something and did not meet all the 2000 bumper and emission regulations. they could only be driven on private property.

Last year Boyd was nicked by the tax man because he was basically ***ling brand new cars as what year they resembled.

Boyd and Ford are high profile and can't fly under the radar like us backyard builders can, so what is Ford going to do to ***le these things? They can't call them 1932 Fords... they were built in 2006.

It can't hurt to have 100 rich boys with a stake in non-mainstream cars, when the lawmakers try to squeeze us for whatever they think is important this week.

BTW, what motors are they putting in these? I would ***ume 302/5.0's but I don't see anywhere where they say. Motor City Flatties would be nice and possibly the only redeeming feature IMO.

This is a failure as a fund raising stunt because we are talking about the car and not about the charity. Does anyone know the address of the charity so that we could send a donation. If each of us that posted would send a donation that would be a good thing. Many times I have thought that we on this board are really blessed and should take time to give back. Especially give thanks to our military in the hell hole of Baghdad.

PUT SKINNY TIRES AND OLD WHEELS ON IT AND AN ANCIENT ENG SET UP AND HAVE FRESH MATERIAL TO BUILD TRADITIONAL STYLE. AND CAN PROLLY DO IT FOR A MEASLY 120K OR SO , HOW COOL WILL THAT BE .....

Man, So many people with their ******* in a bind. It's a Fundraiser. They get the wealthy types to buy for a good cause. It's not gonna change anything for Tradional cars. I think it's great that an American company that as of right now is a bit on the ropes spends time and money for this. Don't see Honda,Nissan etc doing it. Support this idea....

This isn't the first time Ford did this. Back in the 80's for the 50th( I think) they did a repo 32... they were sold in limited supply registered as Fords.. Those cars ****ed.. They were gl*** bodies with 4 cylinder and 4 speeds. A guy near me owns one and has not restored it... It is pretty rough. These new steel cars are heads and tails above the 50 year cars.... I believe those were 'gl*** Model As' with Pinto running gear.

  23. I agree. Big F'ing deal... Here's the thing I liked the best out of all of this - the first one will be autioned off with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.:D

Can we get back to bashing newbies who forgot their intros??

I think it's pretty cool that Ford is doing this for charity.

As for the whole Deuce debate....I personally don't give a rats *** about a deuce, yeah they are nice to look at but personally I am a bigger fan of the A on any day of the week.

How many whiners on this post have ever donated anything to charity.....or actually built a car that moves under its own power??? We need 20/20 or Sixtyminutes to do an episode and find out for us.

This is gay. I'd rather own a ****ty fibergl*** bodied "32" on a lifted up Bronco frame with a Pinto 4-banger, Umm well actually i would never own that or a Dearborn Duece. Who really gives a damn if it's it's signed by Edsel.

It kills me when a celeb.signs something and that is their contribution to a charity.
And if Craig Knight is involved......stay away.
