Working on a 32 for hiboy with a boxed frame. Running most wires through the frame. I have a SoCal headlight bar with BLC headlights. Stock style grille/shell & full hood with sides.

Suggestions on where to run the headlight wires ?

We just did a deuce highboy sedan with So-Cal style headlight mounts. I drill a hole on the top each frame rail inside the firewall leg and a hole on each side at the front beside the grille shell either on top or out the side and run the wires down the inside of the rails then out the front holes and into the lights. I found some black plastic tubing at the local hardware store to use as conduit. Check pewsplace.com He currently has pictures of my highboy sedan. On this installation we came out the side of the rails. I have done a highboy using what you have and I came out the top.

  3. Jerry Kugel had these made. You can find the 411 on his IG

Those bezels /sockets for the headlight bucket & shell can be picked up @ electrical lamp accessories & fancy plumbing hardware.,
( if Lathe is not available) threads on back side..
Building HRs not all parts have to be automotive related!

  5. Notice those are done in Cerakote?

  6. The covering could be Euro fuel line, but like you said anything that catches your eye can be used.

Got a single M/T sb Chevy valve cover

  9. On cars with fenders, my old boss would run em through the fender brace then fished through the headlight bar into the head lights.
We would weld up the wire hole in the headlight. No wire was visible.
Aviation wire was used. Smaller and fit easier.
I bet similar could be done with no fenders

Down inside grille shell and then into frame rail.

  11. I made conduit from stainless tubing for my model A roadster. Top of the tube was held in place by a rubber grommet.

As simple as I could come up with at the time. Black vacuum hose with a grommet at each end.

Personally I don't like to tie things together, if I want to remove a headlight or a grille shell, I try and not have them connected to each other along with other items in a car. It seems to make repairing cars a lot easier.

Great points, all...thanks for posting ideas. I'm now armed with plenty of info to smartly start drilling holes.
