there was a large collection in Wisconsin. The man p***ed away. He had my 57 Fuely and my 40 as well as my sons. Guess Rawlings bought em--he bought 28 cars I understand.

Nope. Neither were Moon tanks, or straight axles. Most has at least some of those things though.
Compe***ive 60's G***er racers wouldn't leave much on the table. ;-)

 

Cleveland, Ohio was a hotbed for G***er racers during the 60’s. The Rodriguez Brothers built and for many years raced this ’56 210 sedan in D/Gas. Here Jimmy Rodriguez cleans the tires as he edges towards the starting line at the NHRA Nationals. “Hut’s Dyno Shop” was Ron Hutter’s Cleveland area engine shop. Hutter’s engines became a popular, trusted source for NASCAR racers in several divisions.

 

Lest you forget, this is 2023 and everything's a g***er. Just ask this guy. Wide whites on Pro Stars....lol. I'll stop there. Remember that kid who always wanted to ride bikes or play baseball with you and your buddies, but you were always reluctant to say ok because he ****ed? Well he's an adult now, and.....this car is for sale near where I live. 35 grand.

 

I liked the woodpecker decals.......for about two minutes, wide whites on racecars not nearly as long!

Got my '56 in July of '91, when I was 14. Finally got it the way I've always wanted it last year, so I know your pain.

 

It could be saved. The huge spun tank is just the spearhead for all the rest. Sad fate for a rare SD.
