Here's something I noticed sometime back in this thread and finally took the time to confirm my su****ions. From post #1 through post #60, there are six individuals on here who have a HAMB trade rating of 100% and 16 with 0% ratings. Whether I'm buying or selling parts on this forum, I always check the trade ratings of the person I'm dealing with as well as the comments made by the persons who posted the trade ratings. It's a safeguard that Ryan built into this site and I'm surprised that more people don't use it. At the conclusion of a transaction, I try to always give a review of the person I'm dealing with and in the five and a half years I've been here, I've never had to give a bad review. I would hope that others would participate in this as your opinions matter to me. Is the person I'm trying to deal with an honorable person? If you've dealt with him before, tell us what you think.
I’m guilty of not giving a trade rating the past few years. Didn’t know how to copy the link to the ad the transaction/rating was for Just recently learned to do that on my phone.
Never use it. And I would bet that most of us that have been here for 15 to over 20 years don't. Ryan has built a ton of great features into this site. So many in fact you can't use them all. Social Forums are a good example. If I see something posted by a person who DOES NOT interact on the main Board and is only here to sell I will move on to a better known HAMBer that actually participates. THAT is my litmus test.
If anyone is interested, the buyer has made no effort to purchase since I told him that he had to send payment before I ship. And the buyer has been a member on this site for 10 years so be careful guys.
That’s ridiculous. I think I’ll try that on my next order from Amazon. Think they’ll ship before I pay?
Still waiting for the 10 year HAMB member to post on this thread and explain why he wanted the parts first and pay later
Me either...and I've bought and sold (more buying than selling) a number of items thru the HAMB...always with good results. I too check how long they've been a member, and/or their degree and type of participation.
I PM'd the OP when he first started this thread and he told me the supposed buyers Hamb name. He has been a member here for 10 years and has only one post in that amount of time. So he does not participate on the board. I don't think there is a good reason to offer up a Hamb relay to a person that doesn't participate
Yea...... "If I don't know you then you better make a damn good case you want to be known and where you live."
F and F … get prices and details in writing, what is said in one moment always seems to change like the wind blows
A Seller is not selling shipping. That applies to a car or a part. A prospective Buyer should do their homework and figure out how they want something shipped and whether or not they want to pay for insurance. Jim
