I have a 1935 Chevy 2 door Standard Sedan and my goal is to use the oldest parts I possible can. I'm planning on using a 1955 Chevy rear end. Open drive line and hydraulic brakes. On the front end I want to keep the stock axle, because it looks real cool, but I'm not sure what to do about the brakes there. Any one know what backing plates and brake hubs from a 5 lug hydraulic Chevy would fit? I have a set of 49 backing plates and the holes don't line up. Or maybe the same style axle with everything that I could just pop on?
