  1. I ran across this in the archives of my computer from 02-06-2003, looks like the membership wasn't quite what it is today. HRP

I wish that I would have joined the H.A.M.B. early on. It has great advice and funny people.
I enjoy browsing and the smartassery that goes on here in my spare time.

  7. Cool. As member #51, I remember those days. Not all of them were smooth. Germ kept us entertained, among others.

  8. HRP...And how many of those 22282 posts were yours? :p

  9. Late nights when we had the messaging was fun. Later, when that went away Zeke ran a hangout that was a hoot overnights

  13. Someone asked me if I got on "The Board". I asked him, what in hell are you referring to. He told me, and here I am many years later. Ryan, thanks for what you have done and continue to do.

  14. I remember that version.

Every time I'd Google something hot rod related, the hamb would always come up. Just never thought about joining back then. Didn't own a computer until 2009, and didn't get a smartphone until 2012. And now I don't own a computer again lol.

The day I bought my coupe, I was told to join the HAMB. I did join. This joint was was down right mean to the FNG’s. Some funny guys and killer cars. On first day I find a thread on the Atomic Punk Bubbletop. I was totally hooked

Wow that page sorta has a vintage vibe to it now. I was balls deep in circle track racing back then. Didn't join till I bought my 31 coupe. The talented people, the cars, and especially the history have me hooked.

I was a lurker for over 15 years...always built traditional rods, but for a number of years, it appeared to me that there were way too many unhappy, critical, self-centered boneheads on here to make the forum enjoyable:(

Early days were great, think more people posted back then. Sure miss all the guys that have passed on, lots of knowledge & humor gone. Remember how it was when you finally met a HAMB member after years of reading their stuff?

  29. Just as in life, you can tell the Alpha, the Betas and the folks that just get along with everyone........These comments make me laugh.
