Vintage air scoops, air cleaners......

A few of mine.

 

Here's what we came up with on a Packard 289 with a dual 2brl intake and some early WW carbs. We purchased the filter elements and the outer caps(we opted for the no name caps for a cleaner look). We had to design and fab the housings and make the screens.
I think they came out pretty good.

 

Picked these up on *B*y. Got two boxes, now what to do with 2 vintage boxes, scour the internet for one? Just kidding

 

Swiped this off a blower thread....not sure if it's vintage or not but it's cool as hell.

 

A couple neat Nicson spark arrestor/air filters i just picked up to run on my 331 cad. They will polish up nice

 

The cover car looks to be running the same Nicson style (or similar).

 

Old Harley-Davidson repo 7” air cleaner covers.

 

Made this one out of an old fish cooker pan. A Cal Custom I made a base for and turned around. Some Cris Craft boat vents that I was going to adapt but ended up removing the 3x2 system.

Shovelhead, they were a little rusty when I got them so they must be vintage.

 

Air cleaner for a compressor count? Made this for a long gone compressor. Would have to make another for new compressor, and change inlet to larger size. Not sure if I will…

 

Went with the K.I.S.S. theory. Still my favorite. Decals come soon.327/350.

 

Most everything on this old truck is custom fabbed, the one thing always lacking was the air cleaner. So I decided a Ram Air set up would be the fix !

 

Unique Idea I came up with for my brother's '34 Dodge with a 241 Tri Power Hemi..
Juice O Matic...juicer finned aluminum tops converted to air cleaner tops.

have 3 Nicson's on the 327 in the 55, they are a pretty neat little scoop/spark arrestor

 

I will always love the louvered style, like original 56/57 Corvette dual quad units and then all the little 2bbl toppers.
