I've still got late-'60s showrods on the brain:

I call this one "Book Launcher" (apologies for the OT 13B-and-a-half.)

I'm really refining my 3D modelling, rendering, and graphic editing skills here. It's been a learning experience.

Archie Ary 1935 Ford three window coupe

    Hello,

Archie Ary had quite a stable of drag racing vehicles. I was able to film his dragster in action during the 1959 season. The infamous staging first vs stall at the “go,” signal.

We did see Archie Ary in competition, but it was in his FED, during the 1959-60 timeline.

“Attached is a photo of Archie's '35 class A/Fuel coupe. My '32 is in the foreground. This was at Colton for the 1955 NHRA Southern California Regional Championships. His coupe was flathead powered. He had previously won an NHRA meet in Central California. When the NHRA changed the rules in 1957 to allow non-fendered cars to run in the renamed Altered class Archie build a Crosley with Chrysler power.” Don Montgomery

The 1935 Ford coupe with the original Moon Eyes belonged to Archie Ary from Colton, CA. He was one of the co founders of the Colton Dragstrip… the name of the coupe on the hood: COLTON DRAGS.

Archie went on to build a chopped Crosley fuel coupe. “The Flying Saucer” @296ardun Thanks…

Purple until a full color shot comes forward for recognition. YRMV

As some will note, I took some liberties with my version of Archie Ary’s 1935 Ford Coupe. It was too nice of a race car to just have white steel rims… YRMV

   ...Hi All...just an Inspiration for Hamber @VANDENPLAS...

My ride is down, I'm trying to nail a problem that is starting to look beyond my expertise but I'm picking away at fixing what I can and have made contact with a veteran GM mechanic/Hotrodder to have him troubleshoot it if necessary...

Have a great weekend my friends...;)

  11. After more than a few years without access to a laser cutter, I finally bought one of my own!
Back to cutting stuff from my growing collection of vector art.

  14. I shot this at the Retro Suites while taking some pictures for retro fest, been waiting until Friday to post it. Novel idea that can make anyone into an artist. 1DA010B4-D4B9-43CB-9D4A-D4E8B70E81B2.jpeg

ecodesign: Your 5 window bears a striking similarity to Rocky's coupe.
