Spent the weekend with my son in my old home town of Osoyoos BC which is right on the BC/Washington border. Won't find a nicer venue to see a ton of cars. Just under 700 cars total and a ton floating around town that weren't in the show. The event is put on by JF Launier of JF Kustoms & the Cactus Jalopies car club in Osoyoos. Jf has built a Riddler winner and several cars that have competed for it along with his roadster that competed in this years AMBR. Chip Foose was in attendance this weekend as well as he and JF are friends. Great event that is very well run in an awesome small town. As for cars there was literally everything under the sun with a good mix of HAMB friendly, muscle cars, restomods and everything in between. I appreciate and like them all to one extent or the other. Here's a bunch of HAMB friendly, enjoy!
Hey @Fitnessguy It's been a few years since I have made the drive over to Lake Osoyoos, but it's very well worth the time and the gas to go there. Definitely one of the most beautiful areas, for a cool car show, and camping and boating. So cool that for a place that is out in the middle of no where, somebody years ago was smart enough to build a store called " Princes's " that has everything you could think of, groceries, auto parts, boat supplies, etc, etc, etc. You could even buy a brand new saddle for your horse or a outboard motor for your boat! And open till midnight ! Run out of food and beer at 10:30 PM, no problem, just walk across the street and load up with more supplies ! Thanks for posting and sharing the great photograph's.
My Mom's side of the family were some of the first settlers into Osoyoos so the family history goes way back. Yes I remember going "across the line" lots as a kid with Mom & Dad to Oroville and shop at Prince's. Back when no passport was needed. The town sure has grown/changed since we moved in 82. Still lots of same spots and history but a ton of building has gone on in the last 10-15 years.
With a population of 5-6 thousand that jumps to 15,000 in the summer months it puts a lot of strain on the only road in and out of the town. Having said that it’s nice little town and has the warmest lake in Canada. The car show was fantastic. My car was down waiting for parts so couldn’t make it, also missed the drag races on Sunday at the airport.
Have seen your coupe several times brother. Wouldn't change a thing! Glad to hear you enjoyed the show. Sure hope the town gets it's act together and keeps the event happening.
no, I didn't get a close look at it. Did see the interior from afar and it looks like it's set up like a camper inside to sleep in.
