For all you know....maybe there was more to it. Maybe it went really bad, and Coby didn't want to go deeper into it. There have been many members here who have had bad experiences with a shop or seller or vender. That doesn't mean Tim's shop is bad, or his work is bad. He just mentioned a difference in where he wanted the build to go, so he pulled the car. Nobody knows but Tim and Coby...
I've known Coby many years, and totally give him a pass, for his choice to share his experience with this build.

I haven't read any of the replies, just knew it was this coupe before looking at the photos, I like it. Reminds me of this WWI camo magazine artwork I've had listed for awhile. Bob

I gotta say it again, the interior of that car just wears me right the fuck out! Nothing, NOTHING, better could be done there to THIS car. A perfect fit.

I understand where you are coming from. Please note that TRJ wrote an article about the car and called it "The Controversial Coupe" and not because of the stripes. In it, they interviewed Myself, Bill, and Tim. The information is out there. What I don't think is really out there however, is although this is a completely different car, there is no question Tim helped establish the look. So trying to give credit where it is due while also saying the car ended up elsewhere is a bit of a conundrum.

    I love the car,
    the engine,
    the chop,
the grill / lack of visible radiator.
i wish I could see it in person. and now I respect the restart.

I like the paint, as it reminds me of this chopper.

I was following the build with Conder and was also following the South City shop on the 'Gram. Somewhere along the way (way late in the game) I figured out they were they were for the same person and felt pretty dumb. ha ha
Full fendered '34s are going to be the new flat black! Maybe everyone will quit giving them Bonneville chops now.

I knew of the coupe, seen a couple pics on the bookoffaces , I just got the HR mag in the mail and read the article , I can't think of one written where the previous shop was called out like that before in print ..

The car you ended up with is beautiful, does look like TC's helicopter.

I am glad you are doing better health wise!

I absolutely love the Van, and both admire and respect your flair.

Having an Individual Spirit and Eye are often a case for negative feedback and misunderstood application of ones self, your in good company. Many of us here feel ok to voice our opines. With the Individual nature comes that course. Often times it seems like an attack. Often times it is just a narrow scope on life by those misunderstanding individuality. Take it as a badge of honor that you have created such a stir by your own efforts.

    Now onto the Car -

That is one Shag Nasty Bitch! The Wheels, Engine, Rear, Fabrication, Stance, and Upholstery are Bitchin'!
I even love the Root Beer (Personally it's one of my favorite colors) But Honestly I really don't like the Stripes. It's too much for me and doesn't add to the Car for me personally. At this point I don't even see them because there's so many other completely great things on this package. For the record my cars are all boring....

Keep on Keepin' On! I love your Individualism

    All the Best,

    Tim
