Don't forget George Petty! His work was a little different from Vargas, less sultry, more girl-next-door type. His smiles are the best IMO! And Elvgren! Vargas, Elvgren, Petty, the pinup trinity. And for obscurity, Peter Driben, his bad girls were great! If you need pinup reference, I've got stacks of them books! The only thing I like as much as cars are pretty gals
You guys should get my old posts I own 6 pieces of nose art painted by Freddy Hayner(Hayner the painter).Yea he was a car guy.Also notice lady luck is holding her wrench in her right in the old stuff.I love this stuff.Also have a Enola singed by Tibbets.
There are several books on Amazon.com , I got a good one at the sale table at barnes and noble too. Just look up "nose art" Does anyone have a good picture of "PAKAWALLUP" sp??? That one is one of my favorites, Its got an indian chiefs face.. I tried to convince my friend to paint it on his ponitiac but he ended up selling it.
