I personally saw registration numbers in the high 2,400's. There was a $1 bet running if it broke 2,500; that's why I asked the guy. I didn't go out of my way to ask; I just happened to run into him.

You can't go by the registration numbers for a count. When you sign in for your window card, you sign a book. If ten or so people don't show up on each page, they still use the bottom number for the total, they don't subtract the no-show's on each page. You can never get a straight answer from those guy's, it always been a ******* contest between them and Goodguys as to who get's more attendance.

Either way, 6,000 or 2,500. It’s still plenty for me to take in. :)
Glad everyone enjoyed the pics. My pleasure!

Based on the registration numbers, it wasn’t 3,000….. The only way to get an accurate count is to lock the gates, make sure not a single car moves, and start counting. Whatever the final official number was or wasn’t, it was a good turnout, and I had fun.

Thanks for the coverage and snapping a few pics of the 54 Mint Julep! For those who attended...does anyone know the name of the guy with the significantly large video camera that was filming all weekend? I know he got some footage of me and my family but can't remember his name at all.

As far as signing the book if there’s a name next to it all it means is they registered, without a signature they’re a no-show.
NSRA may use the registration number as the car count, not that it really matters.

Been there many times this year visiting Germany/Europe. When they let in all the newer cars seems real hot rod count dropped - sad to say

Yeah I’m not a fan of it, BUT to me there were still plenty of hot rods to enjoy.

I only took a few photos of cars that really appealed, and added a few of my brother in laws roadster pickup that we drove, but I didn’t take a photo of.
I was surprised the car count wasn’t higher, but was impressed at the overall quality on average

I was there in 1997 in Clarence. While cruising the grounds one day I made a right turn down one of the aisles and immediately ran over a remote-control car that some child was playing with. If you were that child or know who it was please accept my apologies.

On the bright side I met a bunch of folks who had their canned ham trailers on the grounds. I don't remember any of their names but they treated me really well and let me go into several of their trailers. Someday we plan to buy a canned ham if we can find one that's 1) old, and 2) has a bathroom. That's a hard combination to find. All of the older ones 've ever found had no facilities. Sherry tells me that if I buy a camper with no bathroom don't expect her to travel with me. And I insist that whatever I buy (more-or-less) fits the era of Clarence, 1948.

Thanx to all who posted pix.

That trip was the farthest east I've ever driven Clarence. We spent time in DC, Gettysburg, etc., as well as the show. It was a really good trip.
