The banger with the hemi valve cover, is, wiat for it. Its a Rover K series engine. Looks like the 1.8litre one to me.

Didnt talk to the guy, but im 99.9% sure.

    Hope that helps.

Its enough to give us all nightmares i know.

Rubellion's getting built near me, in Birmingham. He threw it together in just a few months especially to get it to the show and it certainly rocked a few boats.
As for it being a waste, Dave, everybody else that said that didn't put their hand into the pocket to buy the body when it was on it's way to the crusher - it was THAT ****ed - whereas our guy did, so he gets to say what happens to it, I reckon....And he loves the fact that it ****s with peoples heads.

To be sure I'm happy it lives, does anyone have any pics of what it looked like.

Yup Sam that's a Renault Dauphine, they were very common in the US, sold a lot of units. There was one in the US in the '70s that had a Caddy motor in it, it was wicked, I have a pic of it in that giant Street Machine pictorial.

I'm not sure I like the new paintjob on the Standard Vanguard pick up.

Yeah, its' a renault with vw running gear, part of the outlaw flat four group of guys who generally have a bit of a connection with WPS(wolfsburg performance services)certainly one of the best vw tuning places in the uk,and renowned for getting good power outta relatively small capacity vw engines........ian clarke and the ret of those guys build some very cool/fast rides im my opinion all respect to them:)

And here,s my happy couple who are getting married in Vegas next week, Keith Harman and Paula.

This little Anglia was a turn up as it was the first time I had seen it for years. It was my daily driver for a year or so and the 1600 crossflow is still going strong. Cool.

Last one. The " I think this **** is yours" pic. Ooops, come back next year with a stroner driveline!

In this. I,m not sure if it,s not been lifted from an Opus that was running a very similar motor.

That's pretty cool. I bet it goes a treat, I like those engines.

My weekend? Better than I thought it would be. Clutch started squealing a few days before and had no time to do anything with it, so I was concerned about that all weekend though nothing happened with it. Then I got turned back in the fire-up road late on Sunday as the block started to drop oil ********. Managed a NPB earlier Sunday though, which was nice. Got a few plans for the car for over the winter, got to try and catch Clark up.
'Cos of organising the Meltdown though, I didn't get to have a good look around the pits, so I'm very grateful to you and everybody else that took their cameras with 'em!
How's your little V8-60 coming along?

Well done on the NPB. I guess losing the windscreen helped huh? Bet it felt faster too! S,funny looking at John,s pictures as it appears I didn,t walk as far as he did.

The ,60 is coming on thanks. Still piecing a body together out of what was saveable from the original Austin body but it,s a mess! The ch***is is done and rolling though, going to sort the steering once the cowl is finally fixed in place. Then I,ve got to finish the pickup bed and sort somewhere to sit, find a grille shell that suits it and finish off the countless little jobs. I,m aiming for the HRD,s next year but what with my back the way it is and my job, we,ll have to see. There,s an increasingly large pile of Tudor Sedan parts to deal with too.....

  23. Fantastic pictures...as usual i decided to miss a great event.....i`m with you on the back...i`m suffering big time this week..i wouldn`t mind if it was something i`d done to aggravate it, but it just `went`..........

    great shots

  30. Thanks Flatoz, the green 32 Roadster is mine, £12,000 English pounds (negotiable) would buy my car. It cost a lot more than that to put together, and has been everywhere in England over the last 8 years without ever letting me down. I really don't want to sell but gotta fund new projects somehow!
