During our road trip to Pennsylvania, me and @redzula took a rest stop at indy to see the custom car revival. we showed up just in time for the light to be right on, so I could get in the way of the professionals, while taking photos with my 5 year old crappy phone.

heres are the photos that I took (minus the REALLY bad ones)

we got there at 8:30 on Friday evening.

Starting from the outside "spectator parking" aka "hot rod parking"

    found a @Johnny Sparkle
    [IMG]

we opened a gate (table) and let him into a place he wasn't supposed to go, then moved on.

found this slice of heaven in the parking lot (still outside)

We then moved on to the real show, the customs!

It was cool to see the 'Dick Fowler coupe' Perfectly restored with a killer chrome dash.

The dream truck is a personal favorite of mine. (I wish someone would clone the early version before it had the fleet side bed added.)

This very well proportioned sectioned and chopped chevy, with what looked like a 51 merc rear glass.

    55 chevy by @Moriarity

This one turned out darker than I'd hoped, but I really dug this little car.

One of my cars I was most excitied to see, @Cody Walls Buick.

    It's beyond stunning.

Behind cody was this '56 chevy, that had a bunch of cool modifications done to it.

Once the sun went down more, he fired up the neon lit club plaque in the rear window.

Its 100% bitchin in real life.

Another car I had yet to experience in person was the "gold top" rivera.

It looked gorgeous under the street lights.

There was a great display of color at the show. (none of the cars in this photo are black)

One of my favorites of the show was this simple clean 48 ford sedan

After talking to a couple friends, it turned into a smash and grab of photos.

Everywhere you looked there were beautiful cars. I missed more details than I saw.

But after over an hour of walking around, it was time to get back on the road.

I took one last photo of johnny's truck on the way out, and down the road we went.

All in all, as a first time viewer, If you like customs, You HAVE to go.

More customs than I have ever seen in one spot, and an impressive amount of quality.

Didn't realize we'd be driving right past it until I picked up @BigJoeArt in St. Louis a few hours earlier. But so glad we stopped.

The amount quality cars in a single parking lot was insane.

Also I apparently really like the front 1/4 shot and the rear 1/4 shot lol. #notaphotographer

This show is one of the very few shows in the country that has only traditional cars..... @straykatkustoms shows are the others and I bet that is about it....

built by a semi local body shop there about 50 years ago. 40's pickup cab with a homebuilt rear body section that looks like it was made out of fiberglass. I think they were trying to build a "3 window" coupe. It was not in the show, but was in the "special parking area"

Custom Car Revival is the show to go to. I tell everyone it is a Rodder's Journal quality show. I wasn't able to go this year, but the event coverage just blew my mind with the quality of new and historical customs. Kevin is the hardest working custom guy out there and his show is top class.

@BigJoeArt thanks for sharing your kool pics.

Thanks for posting your pics. That white roadster is a Saturday night regular at the local "Suds" cruise in. He had a nice Ranchero as well last I saw him.
