Time for an update: Yesterday, I finally took full ownership of the Corvair, buying out the rest of the family! So now I can get busy on it again. It will for sure stay an unrestored survivor. It sat in storage from November of 21 until now, while we worked towards getting the estate settled. I sold quite a few of the cars already, there is only 5 or 6 left.
Dad had discovered that 2 of the cars that he had found 100 mile apart had consecutive serial numbers, and he really wanted to keep them together. Well it's a good thing he did, and he got his wish. Studying the cars and researching the data plates, I learned that one of them was silver with a blue interior and a 4 speed. The other was gold with a red interior and an automatic. I think they were ordered by a husband and wife, what do you think? Anyway, I sold them to a husband/wife and they are planning to restore them just that way, his and hers! (pictured below)

Nice to see some of them going to good homes.

Agreed, Squirrel. A father/son team got the 62 convert out of the garage. The kids learned some ingenuity from the old man, getting the car with no running gear loaded

I'm getting some yard art set up as a tribute to dad, using some of his vintage tin that he had laying around. I am going to add a cowl, grill shell, and hood top, but no sides.
