History '35-'40 fenderless coupes

I'm pretty partial to this era coupe, especially 35/36. Of course, not a lot were done like this for a really good reason: It doesn't look right. I don't think I have ever seen one done this way that looked good. The few that get a p*** in my book are the ones built for the strip, like the Reath Automotive car. They didn't have to look good, just go fast.

Don't do it. The few cars built that way looked ****py then, and they look ****py now.

 

DO IT,,,, early cars built with mud road fenders ,, looked ****py back then,, and they all still look ****py now...

 

the bottom line is -- to build them fender less,, the front wheels and axle are moved 8 inches forward ,,like the 32-34s to make look right ,,, and a family man can buy cheap 4 door 35 36 for 2k and throw back half away,, to fab a nice 35 bobber truck build,, all for under 4 k total ,,in 2026
and high dollar lipstick and jewelry cars -- i walk past without a second look,
