My Battery ground cable is directly connected to the block with a bolt connecting the bellhousing to the block!
It started out as a simple brake job. I found that the bearing race on the right rear axle was gnarly bad.! The REAL problem is that the races on which the caged roller bearings run are rather permanently swaged onto the axle casing., Without a lathe to cut down the damaged race and put on a repair sleeve; through a friend i got a whole good axle case!
I would really appreciate at that. I do have a dual detent shifter to go along with the later gear set. I’m thinking it’ll be quite an improvement. The only early Ford transmissions I’ve driven are the B box and Model A.
Rich’s roadster went on to New Zealand It has been upgraded to current SCTA specifications and should be coming back to complete again The motor will be another Dodge with a nascar head graphed on

Bitter sweet for me, will be my last banger check in for a while... Car is sold and a bucket list car is coming Flatty v8 this time sadly. Will my sold car be my last banger?..NO. But the next banger will be OHV Cragar etc... The ole banger was a blast on 66 at the Prewar Pileup...
