Yep, most outboards have water pumps. I collected antique outboards for years, specializing in pre WW2 stuff. The oldest one I had was a 1907 Waterman. (They were called “rowboat motors” until about 1920) Clinton built some air cooled outboards in the 60s based on their lawnmower engines.
