I need a couple engine pieces polished for the mill going in the '47. Anybody here do or know someone who dos good and affordable aluminum polishing?
i think there is a chrome shop in lodi that was fairly reasonable, that kinda stuff always seems expensive though
I know it just seems like it would be a little cheaper than it is. I understand how much work it is but with the right equipment..........
believe it or not a friend of mine bought that stupid little kit from eastwood and turned into this polishing wiz, it might not be so bad to do it yourself ,although i hate that stuff
Polish it yourselve, its the dirtyish nastyish job you could ever imgmagin.Kind like body work, do it yourselve then you will understand why they charge what they do.I still polish my own stuff but I am kind of stubern about somethings.
hey Kirk, Sam from the Strangers here........ I do polishing, guess you didn't know ????? I am reasonable and good, and I can do trade stuff depending on what you need done and what ya got. call me 408-971-8966 M,T,TH,F 10am-6pm and Sat. 10am-3pm or email me direct at cjr429@pacbell.net -seeya
SAM: I'm going to jump Kirks post cause I just bought a manifold on e-gay for my Chevy and might want to get it polished + I owe you a big thanks for helping Jr. out with getting my wheels blasted! I'll get in touch when I finally get the manifold and Kirk, Sam is a first rate guy and will do you right!
Hey Sam I just emailed you. Like I said there if I'd have just thought a little harder I'd have figured that out with the whole wheel thing and all. I'll give you a buzz tomorrow. Ratboy, how the hell are ya?!?!
Since this is turning into a Bay area circle jerk, Kirk and Teddy-Boy let me know when you guys are dropping stuff off at Sam's. I'll drag you over to the new shop.

Hmmm an invite to Sean's Strangers Palace O' Love how can I resist! How is the new shop? I will be off for 5 days coming up in about two weeks and I will try to come up then if the manifold arrives in a timely manner. Hell maybe I'll make the trip just to hang out anyway. Kirk: I'm doing pretty good, sold my 64 Caddy and am finally working on my Chevy. It would be cool to hang out. Did you ever do anything with that gas tank?
Cool. Just let me know when you guys are going to be there. Ted, I'll just say that it is very nice not having to chase tools, nuts, and bolts down a hill anymore.
Yeah but just think about how much battery life you saved by never needing to use a starter to get a car going as you do have the king of rolling start driveways. How the hell have you guys been by the way? Hope everything is good as I think the last time I saw you was at BP!
yea well let us know we can have quite the hangout with the Dentons shop and mine in the same complex....... I am here "after" hours alot if that helps Kirk or you Ratboy -SAM
