I’m just a regular car guy
not many HAMB friendly cars I don’t like
    I prefer two seaters

  2. Old vehicle guy

    especially goofy stuff.
    Log trucks/flat beds
    Busses
    COEs

all brand names built stuff that sucks.
    Brand loyalty fascinates me

  5. The best fight I ever witnessed was Ford vs Chevrolet !
It all started with two friends,,,,,,,a little friendly banter back and forth .
And then it escalated to ,,,,” Ford,,,Chevrolet,,,,,Ford , Chevrolet,,,,Ford ,,,Chevrolet,,,”,,,,then the fist went to flying !
Talk about ugly !!!,,,,,got it broke up,,,,,ten minutes later,,,,they looked at each other and went at it again .
    This happened 4 times in total,,,in about a 45 minute span !
Bloody mouths,,, bruises,,,,,an eyebrow the size of your thumb,,,,,lots of skins and scrapes !
    What a night !

I grew up with my dads Lincoln’s,,,,,,58-59,,,,mid 60s,,,,great cars !

I started as a Chevy guy,,,,,then went to Mopar,,,,,,been there pretty much ever since .
I have a massive quantity of Mopar parts,,,,..but I have a fair amount of Chevrolet stuff as well .
I like almost everything really,,,,especially some of the old unusual cars .
Every so often on here I’ll see a pic of some old iron,,,,,,I love the old really classy,,,stylish ,,fin cars,,,,with tons of chrome !

I've got a pretty short list of cars that I want to actually own but there's a much larger list of car's that I can appreciate and let the other guy or gal enjoy the ownership portion.

I'm an old, irritating, cantankerous, opinionated, Pontiac guy, but that's only on the outside.

  9. For me I always found the "Ford is better! Chevy is better!" type of things to be something that was cringe in high school. For me, I'll take any wheels that are the following:

    1. A convertible
    2. One I can fit in
    3. Roughly 1930-1970. The 1920's are hit or miss for me. Some cars from that era I'd take. Some are too primitive for my liking, like crank starts
    4. 1970's and 80's pickup trucks
    5. Has to be a car or truck made in North America. There's very, very few exceptions, and none of them I'll ever afford (think Ferrari)
    6. Has to be original, for the most part. NOM drivetrain. Original paint, etc... Not a guy thats into taking cars and revamping it hard. I like how it came from the factory.
    7. 1950's to 1980's big trucks (the joys of being the son of a truck driver, they've got a soft spot for me)

I used to be a dyed in the wool Ford guy, but as I've aged I've come to appreciate all different types of makes. I wouldn't be embarrassed to be seen in a nice mid 50's or 60's GM product. Or a European make of the same vintage.

  11. My friends say if you were to cut me I would bleed Ford blue but if it's a car it would get my attention, unless it was an EV.

  14. I’m mostly a Ford guy, but have only one with a Ford engine. I like 392 Hemi’s and SBC’s for power and a hopped up Model A motor for just fun driving.

... there is no American car built before say 1969 or so that I would not own. I have a weird thing for Volvo's and Datsuns as well.

I was raised as Ford guy but due to lack of funds have owned quite a few Chevys, Oldsmobiles, Mopars, and a Hudson or two. What ever low cost projects come down the pike.

To sum it up I'm a cheap guy.

I am a GM guy except for Chevrolet. Just too many of them and they are all the same. Except for Corvettes.

I was raised as a Ford man! Was known as “ the Ford Guy” in school. I put a 430 MEL in ‘55 Ford! In my very small group a friends in high school( small school) , we had Ford guys, (me), Chevy guys, (Danny) , Pontiac guys, ( Ronnie) and even MoPar guys, (Steve and Jiles ) . We also had a few” what ever guys”. It was all fun and games, as we were all friends!
Later in life I became less of a Ford man and more of an “American made car” guy. I’m still a Ford guy at heart, but can appreciate a good Chevy or MoPar or AMC.
I remove myself from any “ argument “ about the merits of one brand against another! But that doesn’t stop me from sending “ stuff” I find on the internet to my good friend, Rich, who is a Chevy guy! Likewise I get “ stuff” from him, on the net! We, keep it fun and look forward to a message from each other blasting the other guys brand! Hell, I’ve been guilty of sending him an “ anti-Ford” meme , just because it was a real good one!
I’m now just a “ car” guy, enjoying any ride that catches my eye!

I consider myself a Ford man. My first car was a '31 Model A Ford when I was 15 back in 1966. Was a Ford and English car guy in HS. Had a Chevy 4x4 Carryall in the Army. First new car was a Toyota which my ex wife ended up with so went back to GM with a new 4x4 GMC. Had several other GM models after that but I still was a Ford guy at heart so I went back to Ford for a tow vehicle. And I would still be driving a Ford for a tow vehicle except for Ford's POS 6.0 diesel. No new Fords for me, ever. But anything with a flathead or any Ford 2 dr. wagon is still fine by me. But this doesn't mean I wouldn't drive another make hot rod as long as it was a Ford in a Ford, Chevy in a Chevy (or GM) but no Chevy's in a Ford. I guess I'm weird like that.
