Cool car, sure fooled me, looked like a 50 year old build, the builder succeeded if a "traditional" style build is what he was after... excellent job

If you think that car is ugly, you need an eye exam. That thing is beautiful....

Screenshot_20230616_112230_Chrome.jpg Screenshot_20230616_112259_Chrome.jpg Comparing the 2 I'd pick the hotrod style any day. But what really gets me is the A grill. Losing the 32 grill kinda gives a hard edge to the front and makes it even more unique.

This car would be welcomed in a number of HAMB threads.
    Number one, stance, nailed it.
Creativity, though I'm selective on A's and certain mods this one is spot on, for sure not homogenized, makes you want to keep looking for those little details.
    Hang'in those rear tires.

    Five spokes......need I say more!

I think it had a lot of people fooled, including myself, with the traditional restyled work done to it. If you Google "Paul Barrow the hamb" a lot of threads come up with Paul and the car mentioned, mostly by members in the UK. It looks like the car was a project in 2003 and built, in it's original version, by 2007.

Lose the apron between the front fenders, go back to the "A" radiator shell, replace bumpers with tube "nerf bars", done.

  17. The only thing I'd change is the headlight height. Reminds me of a bug-eyed Sprite with them up so high. But the big channel with fenders is perfect! Hard to pull off, but done right looks *****in'!!!

Why is it when some guys look at a car the first thing they do is list what they'd change instead of having appreciation for what it is?

A close friend told me many years ago with regards to music "Try to find what you like about it instead of what you dont like." I find that can apply that to cars, people & just about everything.

That is what I have always said. Late 60's one was around my way.
    It checks all my boxes.
Especially the proportions, and layout of the extended hood, and sectioned rad.
As far as the the light stance,,,,, ( not looking to hear any rebut )
All cars can't be the same.

I'm thinking that that might be fairly common in the UK. Law enforcement there doesn't care about the
Cali part, just the number that was issued to the car and the tabs saying that you paid your current fees.

I contacted my buddy Gary in the UK and asked him about this car. He said that Paul Barrow and his father started building the sedan in the 1990s. They started with a complete stock Model A and that the car has had a few transformations over he years. Gary believes its current configuration has the Model A grille shell, steelies and white walls. Paul is a member of the Vultures car club. I pulled a few more photos of the sedan from Paul's Facebook page and he also has also posted a short video with the car if anyone wants to go to Facebook and watch it.

No need for tags here, historic vehicles are Road Tax free and its all registered on a database now anyways so only need to display registration number (licence plate number).

31 grill shells rule! It absolutely looks like a harder, more authentic 60s car with the painted '31 shell.

I'm not usually a sedan guy but this thing with the hanging out rears, shell and rake checks boxes for me. Way cool.

I'm not a fan of '30 and '31 A sedans, but I really really like that one.
