Technical Hard to find flathead mercury green paint

    Trying to find vht sp131 paint .only can find 6 packs and most are out of stock.any alternative brands that are close?I've heard ***mins green is close....

    Brian, why don’t you try your local automotive paint supply store? The one in my town will mix you any color and put it into spray cans. The price is only a little more than a regular can of spray paint.

    Por15 has some vintage paint colors that might be worth a look at too.

    Buy the quart and a cheap DIY spray gun.

    Is the dupli-color spray cans # DE1617 the same or am I off?

    I'm going to go to the Home Depot and Lowe's today and check on that DupliColor one as few places have that and see if I like it or not.

    Detroit diesel green coming in Wednesday I think it'll work.got 4 heads checked out and 3 are good,hooray!

    One more vote for Detroit diesel green. Its what I used on mine, I think it looks pretty close but all I've ever had is internet pics to compare it to

    20230627_155819.jpg 20230627_155802.jpg 20230627_152821.jpg got the engine resealed and the rear sump pan and pick up on. Got one Mercury head and 8ba head. Paint should be here by 11:00.
