    Yep.
Same car as in my avatar -- 70+ years ago. Still a hot rod.

I wonder if they realized how significant those days were to Hot Rodding? I suspect mostly it would have just been living in the moment.

In my 78 years I have often been in the middle of things that have later been viewed as pivotal moments in this country's "history". Rarely did I think of them as particularly important at the time. There were a few exceptions. What I was doing to or with a car was just what we were doing, cool & fun but just what we were interested in mostly with our friends.

Great to see it still had at least some wood in it at a pretty late stage of it's transitions.

You do realise I was being sarcastic.;)
By wide 5 I mean 36 -9 wheels, not regular Ford pattern.

  17. Uncommon but still used, best example being Don Waite record setting T roadster, this was the inspiration to run wide 5s on the front of my roadster, also inspired the louver pattern on my roadster

Solid mounted front and rear, that'd be a hairy ride. Interesting to see the planes in the backround too.

100% agree. Thank you, Jimmy B. These pictures are incredible.

On another note, where can we get Jimmy B's books?
