Anyone have any history on a orange 29 rpu that was ran in the 50s and 60s at fremont dragstrip? It was center steer, had a t grill, suicide front end, and had an 8 port injected small block chevy. Any leads would be extremely appreciated. IMG_20200910_210952_573.jpg 18720.jpeg

I'm a little confused. Are you posting pics of that car or piecing together a tribute replica of that car? Many of those parts look too pristine to have survived the 50s.

Didn't GOODIES speed shop have a pickup like that? Like a J&J muffler deal? Maybe yellow?

Yes I'm building it with my son I was just seeing if anyone remembered it from back in the day and had some info or something on it. I bought just the body from the original owner who had his pictures of it stolen.

Is his (original owner) name a secret? What cl***? Wins? Wrecks? Anything memorable the original owner shared? Maybe with more info from you more info will come from us.

Ya it was center steer, we changed it to a normal style box to make it more streetable.

    The yellow J & J car from 63 64 was a Bantam body B/R altered.
