Well Have an old chris craft kit boat sitting on a trailer. Friend of mine aquired as a project and life changed. Checking to see what the old 325 hemi might be worth. Has casting number kd500-2879 It is complete from intake to oil pan. Engine turns over by hand and appears to have compression. Very cool valve covers and wire covers. Has a 4 barrel intake 17325774-1. Curious if it has value or should just go to the s****. I am located in Arcata Ca.

This engine has value. The 325 cu. in. is unique to a 57 Dodge. The block is the same as the poly head version of the engine. Prices are all over the place as you might expect. It's good that it isn't stuck and is almost complete. A basic rebuild kit might be around $2K. Are you wanting to sell the boat, motor, and trailer as a package, or just the motor. Whatever you do, don't s**** the hemi. I live in NW Montana and would be happy to own it if the cost plus shipping made sense.
