Good on ya. I'd feel like a kid on Christmas morning. Not sure I'd be able to sleep, have to check on her every so often, pinch myself. So glad you got it and have the right plan for it. Just imagine if it got auctioned off to some gold chainer in the wrong era and it ended up a billet laden chartreuse (thank you spell check) street rod. Congratulations, freaking awesome.
My only change would be dual exhaust so I could hear that sweet flathead! Wouldn't change another single thing!
Good that you were able to acquire it. I am sure your grandparents would be pleased you are able to continue the journey.
Welcome to the club. I pulled mine out of a barn in South Dakota after my dad p***ed in the mid 80’s. Here’s a pic from the 50’s of it
Hambtastic! Congrats on keeping the Family together...there will be a whole lotta spirit in this ride, that's for sure...
I see suicide doors, all models have them? How many years up did Ford make them like that? Seems I remember seeing a '35 with them.
I keep going out to the garage to make sure it's really mine and still there! Oh yeah just imagine it with independent suspension front and rear and an LS with tons of billet(stuff nightmares are made of)
Lean on me I'll be your friend Give me your car I'll help you carry on Cuz it won't be long I'm gonna need A '34 5W coupe To lean on
It has been 3 months since getting the coupe and I have been busy. I had my 35 wires blasted and powder coated and got some new Firestones, switched it over to 12v with a powergen alt, rewired the car with stock style harness and added a second tail light and turn signals. Took a few leaves out of the front and removed the spare tire carrier and bumpers.
