This set of photos is a series of pencil drawings I did when I was a teenager back in the mid 1990s. Almost all of them were done in class when I probably should have been paying attention. Other than the Coleman ice chest I think I did that when I was 19 years old because I bought one at a yard sale for I think a dollar and being a hot rodder I couldn't leave anything stock even a vintage Coleman ice chest... Unfortunately the Coleman ice chest I actually made the real version but I think an ex-girlfriend ended up with it but that's the way it goes.
Some guys were into football, some guys were into backyard keggers, some guys were into drugs. I clearly had a car addiction I just couldn't afford anything nor did I have the skill set to build any of this but I was number one in my auto shop...

I pretty much kept all my high school pencil drawings in a three-ring binder some of that stuff is literally done on class papers. I have plenty more if anyone wants to see it I would imagine 30 to 50 more at least that I could photograph and download. Who would have thought my artwork would now be "vintage" being that it was 30ish years ago. The fun part is some of the more goofy cars that I drew like a postal Jeep or a Ford Granada that I turned into a "speedster".

Love the Dave Bell Cartoons, So many personal details! Cop Shop Coupe was one of my favorites!
Like many others, my older brother built a chopped and channeled '33 3/W Coupe after that cartoon!

  9. What is that car? I mean the body.
It don't suppose you got another picture of it at a different angle I'm looking for inspiration for a goofy Hupmobile I'm building.

I kind of chuckle a bit with AI as I feel every Artist's work is a form of AI just from the computer in ones brain but hey...now we can tell the machine to be our brain...the twist beyond this however is anyone can also describe an image even without an Artistic background...I guess that is the catch 22...That's a nice one Bob...

...A link to another pic and the owners name...It looks like a Roadster halved/sectioned and welded back together...I wouldn't doubt it's in a Thread here...

  13. Seeing it at that angle I think you are right. It has had about 8 or 10 in removed out of it, It looks like it might be the front half of a touring body. Still kind of neat but I'm not sure why anybody would narrow it up It's not like a Model T is exactly roomy to begin with lol.

Thank you....I know not everyone can appreciate this art form.

  15. Kool stuff, everybody. Thanks for stopping in, Bob. :)

  16. As I stated in a previous FAS thread. Art in its many forms is always welcome here, computer generated or otherwise it’s always welcome. Just be sure the content of that art is HAMB appropriate.

@57 Corvette ~ Bob I must say I feel bad that the locomotive issue was brought up at all, another work of art deleted. Some would argue that well it is not "HAMB" friendly, clearly the picture was the correct time frame and I remind the person who deleted it that the HAMB still has a sub section called "Railfans of the HAMB" that pertains to the time frame of what we see here.

I posted a photo of a steam locomotive and a '48 Diamond T tractor trailer in response to the original locomotive posting which was subsequently removed. The Diamond T was certainly within the correct time frame but since it was a big truck you could argue that it should have been in the Antiquated section. Regardless it was removed along with the original posting and that's just how things are. It doesn't matter if I agree with it or not. I don't make the rules and the mods have a tough job keeping postings on topic. Way too many great FAS posting to worry about this issue. JMO.
