1952-59 Ford Selling an 8" Mustang rear end $250

I have a 8" rear axle under the Ranch Wagon, I took it out from under a '66 Mustang. HRP

 

I have an 8" from a Maverick under my Ranch Wagon. At 56 1/2" WMS to WMS I believe it's just a bit narrower than a Mustang unit.

 

My 59 Ranchero has a 9” rear from a…. 59 Ranchero! Am I missing something?

 

No… an 8” is a nice replacement for a 49-56 stock rear and get some higher gears and not race it. It also fits where after 1959 . . . 9” rears were too wide. Today 8.8’s are cheap modern and everywhere with disc brakes.

 

Did you have to move the spring perches? Or did fit without any modifications?

 

Had to move the spring perches when I put the 8" Maverick rear end in my '54 Ranch Wagon.

 

Do you know the gear ratio?
