In another thread someone thought it could be a 1922 Durant B-22. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/cto/d/el-granada-1927-project-car/7633362067.html Sorry, the pictures are small.
The rear frame horns look Moparish, and I think there's a 6 cylinder flathead under the bonnet. You should delete that eBay link if you are interested in buying this roadster. Somebody else might snap it up before you can.
The dash and grill shape look like a 26 dodge I had years ago, but that car had drum headlights as most cars of the mid 20's era did
Thanks, but I'm not interested in buying it. I'm interested in identifying it and emailing the seller so that he can better market it, especially if it's a relatively rare car.
Kind of strange the seller can't look at the data plate on the car to see what it is, yet somehow knows it's a 1927 model.
Late 20s Chrysler Dodge Plymouth But that car has been modified. Headlights are changed. Homemade wooden dash. Who knows what kind of insert. I think it used to be a phaetan. Somebody cut the back of the tub off and built a trunk of sorts. No decklid?
It's possible it's not Mopar. I've noticed that there were a couple other makes that seem to share body panels and other things with the old Mopars. Can't remember for sure, I think it was Hupmobile fenders that looked very similar.
what youd be buying is a vintage chassis, cowl and some doors, youd have to find an original touring rear tub or roadster section and be keen on woodwork. As a Rod its of no value. As a car to restore , unless its very rare, its of little value, there are lots of better things to spend your $ on.
mid twenties, 1924 - 1926 Maxwell ??? although I don’t think they did a 4 door roadster, ( as in rounded back end )but then again I don’t know if anyone else did either……
I just think it’s funny to see a project car in a parking garage. Seems like being a car guy would be difficult in SF.
