Has a bare iron bbc block, intake, and has heads on it. No internals. All the fiberglass is laid on it, so the body is complete of sorts. Steering is 100% complete, suspension is 100% complete. Transmission and clutch/pressureplate/flywheel are in it. Rear end is all there except ring and pinion. Brakes are 100% complete except fluid and lines. It doesn’t have tinwork, lexan, battery, wiring, plumbing, engine internals and a gas tank. And no fluids of course

    Guess the current weight?

It's bigger than a breadbox, barely!

Next up is swing the doors and tilt the nose. Then it’s time for body work, and paint. Then tinwork and final assembly.

That ought to 60 foot pretty good! Isn't there a 2400 lb minimum?

2200lb in A gas, but with mechanical fuel injection weight break, you can go under that. With the 408” big block and weight breaks, I’ll be 2145lb race weight minimum.

Worked on the front end and get it mounted and tilting. All that’s left is make some stops for it, notch it for the headers. Then mount and latch the doors and mount the trunk lid and it’s ready to go to paint and body.

Gotta get the latches installed and pin the trunk on, and massage a few things and it’ll be ready to get to paint and body.

Mine weighed #1865 as I recall, with a small Chevy and T-400 trans., and me in it. Similar body layout. Steel body with fiberglass bolt on parts.
Have fun with it, great fun little cars !

That scoop goes real well with the shape of the hood.

Yeah, when I built the car, I though...what scoop ? Like everyone else using the more Pro Stock looking scoop, that was/is well rounded, short and fat..!

I couldn't figure out why I'd put a short, fat scoop on a tall skinny car ?
So, when I saw this one...I looked no further ! A tall skinny scoop (early F1 style) for a tall skinny car.

Funny thing... After selling the car, Palmdale Raceway, (SoCal), where this picture was taken, would not let him run the car without (he did get to run it that day though) "shortening" the scoop. They never gave me any hassle at all, in a few years of running the car there. !
As I recall, he had to section it, five or six inches to make them happy. It still looked..."ok" .

Mike VV- on your Anglia weighing 1865 lbs; was that with a mild steel or CM cage? Also; on your SBC, was that iron or aluminum heads.
    Thanks

Mild steel cage. The cage was VERY minimalistic ! JUST legal, nothing extra ! 2"x3" frame. Again, nothing like todays cars. Just enough to hold things together. It was built by Britting Engineering, back in the late 60's, best I could find out.
    Iron block and heads.
    Olds / Pontiac rear end.
As weighed, WAY back...at the original Irwindale Raceway.
