Great tribute to one of the greatest automotive photographers of all time. Also pleased to see you picked the image of EJ and his late dad, Ed Kowalski bent over the engine of their coupe.
I think I have most of his books relating to Hot Rods. Great guy. I was fortunate to have shared conversation with him a couple times. RIP
One of the great automotive artists with a camera. Lost too soon but his photos will live on forever and those of us who take a lot of photos of cars could do well to study his work and ask our selves what would Peter do with this to get the best shot. Maybe just taking a few seconds in studying the car to get the best shots with the light and conditions that we have to work with is a start in his memory. I know that I will miss the new "photo by Peter Vincent" photos of cars in the future. He will be missed.
Another true artist is gone. Seems too many as of late. RIP Mr. Vincent. Thoughts and prayers for the family and friends
Peter Is A Very Close Friend And Extremely Sad To Find Out This Way....R.I.P Peter...You Made A Difference...
Truly a great photographer. Remember to cherish what we have before we all are gone to the great garage/workshop beyond. As I get older I try to remember that time is too short. Let your loved ones and friends know that you are there for them and care for them every day!
I owned this car that was built by Bean Bandit Vintage Hammer. Peter placed it on page 212 of his Bonneville book. He had a great eye because the car was a Beaute." RIP
“To me, the ultimate reality is a beautiful black and white photograph,” Peter Vincent’s non color photo just makes the hot rod. Also, as much as I like color photography and the resulting photos, this version of a black and white photo is the best version of a very colorful 1961 Impala from @Moriarity So, the phrase holds true in good photography: “To me, the ultimate reality is a beautiful black and white photograph,” Hello, Peter Vincent is/was a great photographer. I had seen plenty of his photos everywhere I looked in my research topic parameters. Photography is a wonderful medium and the photos always hit close to home. His photos, like other published photographers will last forever in/on various websites. But, it gives a clue as to his interests in hot rods and racing. The 1934 Ford chopped 5 window coupe has style and the look of performance. But a still photograph gives an eerie aspect of the hot rod. Alone, on the salt, wondering what is coming up in the next run on the empty salt area… OR… just visiting. My version of a favorite 5 window Ford Coupe ...
