I swapped out the original 2 speed rear-end for a dana70hd disc rear. I need to identify what it came from in order to get rubber brake line parts. How would I go about it? (And no the place I bought it doesn't know)

look for the BOM number stamped on an axle tube?

or make a few guess, go to rockauto.com and look to see if the pictures of the parts match what you have.

or look for part numbers on the brakes, and that might point you in the right direction. If it's from a Ford, it will have Ford type part numbers, etc.

You could post pics here, but it's probably pretty far off topic and may or may not get deleted.

the picture idea is good. i needed a relay for my '50 ford's overdrive, and the local napa guy let me page through his catalog--settled on a starter relay from a mopar!

Ok after some research on the brakes came up with it being from a 1990 p30.

good to hear. There's a lot of info on the internet, but it does take some effort to learn how to find what you need.
