I must have been sleeping. I just went to the Hot Rod Works website and apparently the business is for sale or has sold and they are retiring. It will be a loss to the old car nation. They are/were the best in the business at what they did. Just talked to them at the LARS. Hopefully someone with their skills will pick up the torch and continue?
A great company to deal with, someone has to pick up the business and keep it rolling. Be lost without them
Hate to hear that. Glad I got my banjo open drive conversion from them before they closed up shop. It’s a nice piece.
SAw them at the LA Roadster Show a few weeks ago and they had a for sale sign up at their booth for the business.Definately said to see they're selling the business.
Finding someone to take this over will not be easy. Nick and Ken are the complete package, with a company built on honesty, quality, and superb service !
Hello. Yes, it's true. We are selling the Hot Rod Works business. There are a few individuals interested, but nothing is settled yet. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please send them our way. We are still open and operating now. We have leased the building to another tenant who will be taking over at the end of the year. We are no longer bringing in new banjo / quickchange rear end projects, as Nick still has a few months backlog of work. We are creating a list of those who may still want work done to provide to a new owner. We are thankful for all the support we have received over the last 24 years. It's been a real fun and challenging adventure. We have gotten to know so many wonderful people from all over the world.
I asked them about doing a complete rebuild of a 36 rear, with everything new and plug in axles but as said above that ship has sailed. I decided to order all the parts needed from them while they're still running the business. I have found a builder near by that if I live long enough will get the job done?
So sorry to hear that! Your customer service and parts are top notch. I´m the guy in Germany that ordered the wrong T5 adapter a few month ago. All my fault, but you guided me through everything. Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words. Just to clarify, we are still selling parts. Adapters, axle upgrade kits and quick change parts.
Whoever buys this business can expect help from me in anyway I am able... HRW is important and we need a buyer that knows how to take care of people as well as ass-ends. Big shoes.
Great mates of lots of Aussies, who now have Quickies and adapters downunder. Always enjoy finding their cameo in the World's Fastest Indian movie. Legends.
Sorry to hear this. Great group of guys. Did my 201 a few years ago. Hope they find that buyer. MantuaJohn
Thanks to Nick for all the work/guidance he gave me over the years and for the great work they do/did. They offered a nich work that will be hard to cover. Good luck guys. John McCue
