I hope like anything that all the naysayers and Steve -bashers will have the guts to acknowledge this achievement, but I doubt it.

Not all our international (or even American) members who subscribe have received their copies yet. I personally don't think it's an "achievement" that they made a statement if subscribers haven't yet received their stuff. Until then, to me they're just hopeful words.

    05snopro440, you are correct.
I am a naysayer I live in the US and have never receive a copy.
As I have said many times on here they are CROOKS.
I forgot to mention I got the email just not the magazine.

Like I have said before, I have no skin in the game. I don't know the guy from the magazine, and I have not seen a copy, but it seems to me that the word "crooks" is a tad bit strong. He seems to be busting his *** to correct the many problems that he has encountered. He has faced the music, continued to get his house in order, and is now delivering two copies of the magazine to subscribers. If he was a crook, he would have just said screw it and disappeared three years ago and not have to put up with every ***ault thrown his way. Publishing a magazine is probably very hard... resurrecting one is even harder I would imagine.

Well, I think you should have gotten your magazine. And I am glad someone is keeping track of all the Canadian subscribers so, you'll know for sure when everyone is settled up. And, there could be lots of reason why someone doesn't get their magazine-address mistakes on either side, some data mistake:you are smart and could think of lots of reasons, I'll bet, beyond theft. What do you have invested, $75.00? Petty theft is a tough way to make a living.Did you send a registered letter with a return receipt? Talk to your credit card company?

The bottom line is that no system is perfect. Say TRJ has 4000 subscribers. (Hot Rod has over 385,000/Car and Driver has over 687,000) So if 40 subscriptions go awry, including yours, that still makes the subscriber system 99% effective. The same percentage would mean almost 4000 HRMs subscriptions get screwed up. Most of us would be pretty happy to be right 99% of the time.

It ****s not getting what you paid for, but I'd bet you that $75 that outright theft is not the cause. Hope you get your magazine soon.

There is a thread on here about people who have and haven't received their magazines. To claim this is totally resolved because they issued a public statement is a stretch while those threads are still pretty active. Yes, the company is trying and more people are getting their copies daily, but that doesn't mean they'll be successful. IMO they're still in the process of regaining consumer confidence.

Your tone seems to indicate you have an at***ude to others about this and I'm unclear why.

    I have an at***ude. I have a real bad at***ude man...

Steve is a buddy of mine. He's gone through hell and back - working his *** off, over coming the odds, and doing his best to continue publishing the best hot rod publication ever printed. He's made mistakes for sure... multiple even...

    I support my pals.

Steve is not a crook... and frankly, people calling him that don't know **** about what's happened and what he has been through. Dude could have closed the doors, forgot everyone that paid him, and jet just like plenty of other magazines have done the past 20 years.

Instead, he has stayed with it and worked his *** off in an effort to get back.

I will never understand people that would criticize him over the cost of a ****ing magazine given how hard he is obviously working to bring it back.

Get out of his wake man.... cuz it's coming.
