    Hello,

A small station wagon was what we wanted for beach activities. If my brother had bought any small station wagon during his burn recovery state, it would have set the stage for some unusual change overs, with what we had left of our first 671 SBC Willys Coupe build.

Naturally, the 671 SBC motor would have gone into the small station wagon, to make it one of a kind street cruiser. Perhaps not a daily driver, but a weekly driver. We thought the 671 motor would have been a terrific motor to keep and install in an future build we had planned on doing. But we knew it was a competition motor and not a daily driver build. Then by the time we decided to use the motor again for another project,we decided to sell it to let someone else enjoy the benefits of a powerful motor.

The longboards would have to be attached to racks on top to make it work, but, out of sight departures on our surfing road trips would have us put our longboards inside from winshield to rear door or angled from the bottom front floor board to the rear door glass.

But, for strictly highway miles and cruising, a reliable SBC motor with dual carbs would have been the choice. Low level chassis components and A/C would be the mode of the day. If we felt positive about that Rambler Wagon build, perhaps a custom car building opportunity would come knocking on the backyard garage speed shop door to make it into a small business. YRMV

  14. So, Bob, if I may ask, How are you using AI to create these images? Are you actually rendering or are they more like photo manipulation or is it just some kind of plug and play?
They look neat but I'm just curious how much artist input there is. I don't see myself jumpng at the chance to use the tech but I'm curious about your process.

This AI is word prompts to create an image.....it really doesn't work well on Tradition hot rods or my '57 Corvette. It does very well with newer cars. I sometimes have to roll the image over 5-6 times to get one I like. I always take the image into Photoshop and do work on them. This AI is not perfect for old cars, but does create some very cool images. I will post some Corvettes next week.

I think with your artistic abilities, you could create an image in AI and do some incredible touch-ups. It's free to try and I think you can do 25 images. The app is Midjourney. You have to go through Discord to access it.....

  16. Thanks @57 Corvette ~ Bob I appreciate the info but I don't think I'll be going that direction. I have trained my drafting skills over the decades and if I go into any other direction, it will be with paint brushes and sculpture. I haven't ever posted much if any of either. I did my first acrylic, since college, in 2009 and found that it agrees with me though it has it's problems, LOL. (Very amateur to be certain and remains unfinished.)

I will, time permitting, create a clay sculpture based on one of my cartoons.. Likely taking it to bronze at some point.

As far as AI... I prefer traditional methods with an occasional digital brush assist.
I did take the pinup girl in the acrylic into Photoshop and rendered it further.
Here's the painting along with the progression of "Marion at the Beach"

Interesting sharing of thoughts and abilities between Jigger and 57 Corvette-Bob. I've
wondered about both of these artist's works. Nice to get some insight.
