My new fave that I found on the Custom Car Chronicles. A 41 Merc done up in 1948. Definatly an early custom.

I'd like to get some 16" full wheel covers for this pile but it seems like all I can find are 15" covers. What full wheel covers did they make back in the day that were 16"? Also will full wheel covers clear my stock rear axle stub? I love a 55 oldsmobile cover. Not the popular fiesta cap but the one without the bars 20230522_211519.jpg 20230522_211451.jpg 20230507_193903.jpg

Ed, your coupe has a nice stance. How do you have the front end set up? Reversed spring eye? Longer shackles? Dropped axle? Thanks

  14. Blues4u, The front end has a dropped axle, reversed spring eye and smaller diameter tires.

Just dropped in my good used 8 cm motor and it runs really good. It has great power no smoking no noises . 20230630_155756.jpg 20230711_110449.jpg 20230708_104439.jpg

Took my old wreck to the Perris airport for an afternoon car thing plus skydiving. Parked by a guy with a club coupe. It doesn’t look like it in the picture but it’s 105° there plus the heat off the tarmac. As usual for local airports, they have a cafe and the food is awesome.

IMG_6541.jpeg Gave the 47 a comet and green scuff pad bath . There’s a lot to do to the car yet but a bath seemed to help me feel like I got something done to it
