While you’re shopping I think you’d should pick up at least two lug nuts for that right rear wheel! LOL

What is an SFI flex plate?
I got a flex plate from Bendtsens with my Dynaflow/ST400 conversion kit for my 401 Nailhead. Still got it and the trans as I went the T5 route instead.

SFI is a compe***ion safety rating for flywheel/flexplates, window nets, jackets, harnesses, trans shields, vibration dampers and more. Once a car reaches a specified performance plateau these things become necessary.

Are you able to replace just the ring gear? If not, you may be able to machine the teeth off and install one.

Thanks for that info @theHIGHLANDER , so the OP is not looking for a standard flexplate.

  7. Along with the rating the items are Time Sensitive and have an expiration date. If you must meet an inspection per SFI spec's and the Tag is past it's date it's a no go for you. Outlaw tracks don't much care.

  8. I have done this, always a possibility

SFI, SEMA, etc all have their place but it’s why some forms of racing has gotten expensive and in the manufacturers pocket. I agree with many of their dates but defiantly not all of them.
I also see it, since many do not take proper care of their safety equipment a track owner can they’ll them to go home which may save their lives.
My fire gear looks today the same as the day it was purchased. None of it has ever hung on a hanger in a closet. If it were to be dated out by a racing organization I would quit racing….no sponsor decals on our cars….

Contact Reactor Products in Torrance or Meziere in Escondido, and see if they can provide something that will work. Have the diameter, tooth count and other specifics on hand when you call. They may be able to make one, especially if you’re dimensions match something else that they already make.
Also, consider calling SFI and ask if they know of a manufacturer that provides custom flex plates.

  12. Unless the internals have been modified to use a "zero balance" flex plate, the balance specs will also have to be provided. Replacing just the ring gear is a good option.

Automatic transmission flexplate meeting SFI 29.1 (3 year expiration) and flexplate shield meeting SFI Spec 30.1 (5 year expiration) mandatory on cars running 9.99 or quicker or any car exceeding 135 mph
turbo 4 cyl guys weld a second center to flex plate so it doesn't rip out crank bolt holes so may be all you need, if that.
