I think you oughta chrome the upper grille surround.

(It looks like it's missing its upper "lipstick".)

I like 1 the best, then 2, then 4. Every version with the trim I like better than the version without.

He's right, flip it. But then I'd go with D.

No. 1 -- I have had the same chrome on my Ranchette for the last several years.

4 but with a twist. I'd set it back so the arch of the spear shows a reveal of color around the arch of the wheel opening. Not a lot, an inch give or take. Next, divide the length of the door by 3, stop the rear point ⅔ back, leave the back 3rd of the door bare. Visual interest but doesn't "own" the car. My opinion, you asked, maybe somebody can photoshop it? I can't...

Actually, we are on the same page, i tried to mock it
Up as such for the pic, but
The studs are not removable on the trim, so in the pics its actually sitting about an inch off the body, making it hard to getthat visual, i have a spare piece with missing studs i am lookg for, for better mockups, i was thinking at least a half inch of the paint showing if i went with this version so that the shape doesnt get lost in the shape of the wheel opening.

If I see the lengths of the pieces of trim correctly, #2 looks like they are made to fit the car. However if you plan to weld it together I guess that's a moot point.

I had the same thought when I saw it. The Packard trim strip mimics the shape of the trim below the windows. Would be interesting to see it reversed.

    Photoshoppers?

Given the four choices, I'd go with D.

In its current form it does, reversed it would fight the window trim. Look at the spears. Long portion fwd.
