is the car show season over or is there gonna be another car show in new england? anyone find out when they rescheduled the rained out nostalgia drags to?
October 21st in Marion M***. The "Gathering of the Faithful". Put on by the Cape Cod chapter of the Early Ford V8 Club and The New England Vintage Speed Society. It's a neat little show that features hot rods and race cars of old up thru the 60's. It's held at the VFW on Route 6 in Marion. $10 per person includes your car and parking too. Food and drinks for bargain prices. Lots of door prizes. It's a gathering like the old days. Rain date is the next day, October 22nd.
Here's a good site to keep bookmarked, it's the Maynard Area Auto Club's list of events: http://clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/maynardaac/events.html .
Amherst NH usually has a good swap meet the last Sunday of every month up till October. The swap meet field opens at dawn Been there a couple of times and it's a pretty neat deal. Carlisle ain't in New England but Fall wouldn't be Fall without Carlisle and Hershey!
I have GOT to remember to get to this event! Read about it here for two years now, sounds like a real nice meet.
Bob Nelson will be there with his T. I understand you have something to do with the OHV Model T engine in his car. Get your Henderson powered sprint car on a trailer and add to the fun. We like "in progress" projects too.

The Henderson 4 powered Midget will fit inside the van with room left over for the AMBLER head and some other speed goodies. I could bring some of the literature collection too.
What you describe is exactly what we like to see on display. By the way you can set up a venders spot for the same $10 entry.
Al, I think it's actually the 8th. The 7th is Saturday and the run is usually on Sunday. Do you think you could arrange for a sunny dry day? Last year was a tough one.
Paul..why do you want NICE DAYS..the rain was killer..ok ok...so your 4 plus hour drive in a constant downpour may not have been fun...but it shows just how ******** you are...and yeah, the run is on the 8th...and Clarkie..CONGRATS on the feature...
