Keep in mind that neither of those have clear coat. There's not really any "great" clear anymore from Testors (Rustoleum), but these 2 and the Duplicolor Crystal Clear are pretty good with little clean-up (wet-sand). Again, higher pressures on the Testors now so test shoot on something else for proper distance. Otherwise look into an affordable airbrush.
Loved the 38 Chevy from the first time I saw it in 1984 at Des Moines KKOA. Great idea on a group build. Yes, the world needs more Kustoms. Kustoms with a K are right up my alley, just doubt if I can eek out the time to participate, even with the Oct 1st deadline.
Picked up a couple for future builds. Also some non HAMB friendly MoPars. Usually build more in winter.
Planning to build the Henry J as a Hemi Car to recreate a race car I remember from many years ago. Hopefully the fit is pretty good without too much fabrication.
Also picked up an old kit that I remember from the 80s. I/16 Cobra still in the original shrink wrap. Great kit, haven’t seen a good example of one in years.
My stalled work in progress. Someone offered this freebee kit so I jumped at it as I dig Johan kits. As I walked away he said a few parts may be missing. Yeah, like the drivetrain and the window assembly. I can easily make this a curbside and install any engine and trans. The windows are another story. I'll leave it mat black, add a little foil around the window openings and leave it at that. I'm digging the sinister look as it sits now.
nice. Johan kits are my favorite, I have a bunch of unbuilt ones still and buy when I find a decent price on one.
This 60s Monogram 34 Ford arrived yesterday and I am going to rebuild it as a four cylinder version, need to get the banger speed parts from a Revell model A
I was digging through some old boxes looking for something and I found one of the first models I ever built, I was maybe 7 at the time, needless to say I've gotten much better since then, especially with applying decals.
Deuces, I'm digging that Olds Camino. I was hoping to read that it was something you put together. By the way, I saw last night on YouTube that Round 2 is releasing a '65 El Camino "with Custom Camper".
Sorry Alex..... Those are not my builds..... All those pictures I've posted are from Model Cars Magazine....
