Hot Rods Pre-49 Gathering at Arnie Chupp's Place Today 2024

My old friend Arnie Chupp held a gathering for pre-49 Hot Rods and Trucks today. It was well attended, I didn't get a count on the cars, but it must have been in the neighborhood of 40. I saw people I hadn't seen for some time, and I would like to thank Arnie and his wife Sharon for putting on a great gathering at their wonderful place, along with the hamburgers and hotdogs they provided. So here are my marginal photos. There were a few HAMBers present.

I would have loved to have attended.

John, the bare metal 32 belonged to master car builder Dale Withers, who we lost a while back, and it is a 409. Gene Baxter, one of Dale's best friends owns it now.

great gathering, been down a while for health reasons so i haven't been keeping up lately, i've always like the 3/4 roadster kit he had years ago, i would be interested in an old kit or a complete car if anyone wants to sell one.

Well, a year has p***ed and it was time for the gathering at Arnie and Sharon Chupp"s home, near Oregon City. Many of these cars were present last year, along with some new gems.
