    The TAXI bodies used the common 28-29 cowls, but the rear doors were unique with three hinges.

    The side cowl vent on the Model A didn't last long. It was positioned very close to the louvers in the hood and all it did was bring in engine heat and smells into the interior of the car.

    I've been driving mine for 30 years including a few trips to Bonneville. I prefer it open -- it helps circulation. Never noticed any smelly odors, but my engine doesn't have many leaks (the trans is another item). As for air flow, I've always regretted not installing a roll-down back window.

    Thanks for the tip, rolldown rear windows aren't just for Coupe owners conversing with people in the rumble seat.
