"You guys are going to the hop? Aw man, that place is for kids! You just got yer asses outta there!" Sorry, couldn't help it. Happy b.d. to the piss-yellow coupe king of Paradise Road.
Happy birthday Milner! One inspirational movie for me (and im sure millions more). That piss yellow coupe is the reason i didnt buy a corvette.....thanks be to jesus! Happy Birthday Paul!!
And here I heard Milner was nailed by a drunk driver back in the early 60's!!! There isn't a car guy on the planet who doesn't feel a connection to the character you created in John Milner... Not many actors match their role so well that they become an actual icon to a generation. You made an impression! Have a great one Paul.
Paul, Happy 60th. dosen't seem like 33 years sense Graffiti came out,.... in all the Hot Rod movies I have ever seen, your portrail of Milner was the most believable for a real Hot Rodder,....... ( The Movie that brought new life back into the Hot Rodding) "Yeah there's some punk look'in for me",.......( why do they bother?, you've been number 1 as long as I can remember.),......... "yeah, It's been a long time huh ?"
Yeh, When he was here at a car show a while back I thought thats him? He looked all gangly looked like 60 then. He and his pr people were pissed when I wanted to buy the poster of his car and that 55 lined up and I really didn't want him to sign it .I guess I missed out or did I? Bart
Weird! I just got home from a 60th birhday celebration of a good buddy who drag races and turned on the computer and this is the first thread I see. Happy birthday Paul!
Watching that movie let everybody be Milner for a few hours, absolutely incredible! Happy Birthday Milner, and many more.
doesn'y stop with us either; ..my wife went away for the weekend ,so the boys(8 and 10) and i spent a late night in the garage. i sent them in while i cleaned-up and when i came in the house the 10 yo is holdin' up the AG cd and says "gotta end a perfect day with this!" ...oh yeah!
My buddy got me an autographed photo of Paul and the deuce at a car show a few years back (it hangs on the wall in my shop office). My buddy's '40 Willys was displayed not too far from where Paul was set up signing stuff. Anyway my buddy asked Paul if he'd sit in his car for a photo. Paul absolutely refused.
