Dude, I have been stuck on that 80's long hair/glam/metal boat I can never abandon ship. But as far as cars go, give me that early 60's to early 70's look any day. anything drag racing related, hot rods, street freaks, and yes musclecars. You have a bad *** car. I hope to see it at the drag strip and shows. Cause, I know I'm going to have to come up to you and will just have to mention Ratt to ya!!
Pete; or Pedro when He's workin' and yes He definantly has a soul. This is Louise, named by my kids after their Greatest Great Grandma p***ed, it's getting closer now
I have a green roadster and a black coupe. I call them my green roadster and black coupe. I'm building another roaster and call it my other roadster. I guess I'm not that creative......
I know this is a old post but I disagree on friends naming a car. Buddy had a old white POS wagon and by everyone it was known as the *** dumpster.
Takeoff on a 1958 Rod Steiger, James Mason, Inger Stevens, Angie ****enson theatrical movie, "Cry Terror", and my hemi engine.
My avatar 36 Ford pickup has some do***ented California WWII shipyard history so I painted the old "Kikroy was here" cartoon guy on the tailgate. Now it's known as Kikroy.
I'll see your FED tinware sir, and raise you one. Just got mine back from the panel shop - monster flake'd purple. Would have liked a name that contained a pun, but my limited vocabulary could not make it work. Amethyst it is. Cheers, Harv
When I was in the Army I had a '63 Chevy 4x4 carryall that had been wrecked and repaired in Mexico. The bondo around the windshield was over 1/2" thick. My buddy Rick, the company clerk named it the Bondo Buggy or Bondo for short. RIP Rick. Fast forward to my current '39 p/u named Rusty for obvious reasons.
I've had 2 with names, my twin girls named my '65 Ford pickup SPOT because they were play in the back and noticed a small red primer spot on the top of the cab where I had removed a Motorola antenna and welded in the hole and shot red primer over it, we all called the truck Spot from then on. And my Black 4 door Deuce sedan was called Blackie, I believe it was Deuce Roadster that named it. HRP
My cousin Russell (RIP) had a Red/white 1955 Pontiac convertible in the late sixties, he had "Smooch Shop" lettered on the quarters. He was cooler than his cousin My uncle said one day he was driving that car down the mainstreet of Atlantic, IA, stopped at a light and an attractive young lady hopped in...she was surprised...it wasn't Russell There was a 50 Chevy locally that had "Six Hot Holes" on the quarters. I used to call the 38 "the grey car", not very original.
When you have many ol cars, ya gotta call'em something but not Bertha. The A, the 35, the 39, the Mercury, the yellow truck, the hotrod, etc
I have absolutely no opinion if somebody wants to name their car. I do have an opinion about anybody calling others stupid or dumb if they want to name their car.
The only car I ever had with a name was a white 1991 Ford ****** - "The Beast" I'm not really sure how that name came about, but I'm sure my esteemed colleague Slim will remember
"Miss Taboo" has had her name sine 1958. Got it when the (then) owners dad got really mad at him for cutting up and customizing a fairly new car. Told him it was "Taboo" to cut up a new car. The name stuck and its been Miss Taboo ever since. Name still fits as to alot of people its Taboo to really customize a tri five Chevy today.
I get pretty technical. The White Car The Black Car The Red Plymouth (Medium Metallic Red, but that’s too much to say every time) I’ll let the pictures do the talking for which is which. For the OT cars The Vette The Bird (69 Road Runner)
my T's touring body had a name on the back panel when I bought it. I think it may have been a junkyard mascot as there was a local yard by a similar name. with the body turned into a turtle deck roadster the name is all but covered up. now it just says THE and a mostly obscured world. I refer to it as THE '23
