I used to think the hardtails were low , I have a swingarm Shovelhead that is bone stock and lower than this image . If I took the flat top from pre 65 and grafted it to my frame it would be super low

@jnaki should know exactly where this is. Just down the road from Tin Can Beach.

    Hello,

Yes, it is up on the hill or elevated part of the Coast Highway , at the Huntington Beach "Cliffs." At the beginning of our surf adventures, this was a good place to start. The waves were rolling and consistent. We could also park right along the beach cliff top to see the waves. (highway side parking is no longer available as there is a designated parking area) Not too steep and a fun wave to ride, get knocked off, paddle out to the next series, similar to everywhere else, but in a more gentle form or forms. Then, when the big swells come in, the place is a giant wall of white water with a lot of force making it not as fun paddling out.

The sandy beach was good on the feet, instead of a rocky bottom. A definite listed place called a "Beach Break," instead of a point break. The long 5 mile ocean front drive from the last stop light before Bolsa Chica State Beach to the "Cliffs" area is one of the most wide open rides on this part of the Westcoast. Right along the sandy beach on one side and the swampy "duck" pond, ecological reserve on the left. It gives one the feeling of any open road adventure each time riding on the highway.

We used to take our Harley almost every weekend to our favorite Newport Beach ocean front cafe/restaurant for our lazy Saturday or Sunday ride. Breakfast on the sand and the long 5 mile ocean front highway was made for motorcycles and hot rod cruising. And cruising that my wife and I did for many years.

As the area has progressed, the ocean now has an entrance to the once swampy inland side waters. The ride to the Cliffs area is also changed with homes all along the inland side and those once present oil derrick pumpers are gone. The highway is a little congested on the weekends, but the beach is almost the same.

It still is one of the best ride areas for any motorcycles to give the feeling of being in the open country. But, also right along side of the white sandy beach and big blue ocean. YRMV
