Larry, thanks for the photos and history/ownership info. From the video above, not a Miller, but rather the first Ford flathead to complete the Indy 500, it finished 17th in 1934. It is driven by a good friend and is raced regularly in SVRA events.
and now it's out one of the cars that had a problem and got pushed back in the trailer in indy made its way over to Steve's to find out what went wrong
car wouldn't run without compression, this gear broke at the most opertune time when valves were in overlap or in no danger of contacting a piston. replaced gear, cleaned everything up and we'll see how it runs
belly pan and hood in place, Steve won't start it until the owner comes to pick it up, i suggested we hot wire it and take it around the block, sometimes i can be such an ***hole
Thanks for posting. Have wanted to go to the Miller Meet are for several years. Did get to the Museum of American Speed and IMS museum this past May. Would love to see and hear these cars on the track.
I went to Milwaukee last year and it was great!!Maybe next year...thats me in the orange shirt in above picture...Fordors,you ve got to come out to Steve's some Sunday morning, you're not that far away
