When I got my 5 window it had the trunk, but no hinges. I was wondering if someone that has one of these hotrods could take a pictue of their hinges so I can get an idea of what to build.

I have a set of universal hinges but they just aren't working out.

    Thanks,

This is what the original hinges look like.
The curved piece bolts to the deck lid and there is a hinge under the rear window.
The other piece hold the deck lid in the up position.

MalloMike...Thank you so much, the pics are perfect. My problem is the previous owner replaced all of the wood with steel and I will need to re-fab that area where the hinges need to go. This will give me something to do for sure.

Great shots of the original hinges. I had to shim the hinges with paint paddles to get the proper alignment (many years ago).

I want to give another shout out to MalloMike for his great pictures.

Here's my version of the 33 trunk hinges, less the wood.

Instead of going with the usual trunk lid hold up brackets. I went with gas strut shocks.

"MalloMike" if you see this post, I was wondering if you could post pics of you trunk latching system, mainly the sheet metal part(if it is still original) as you can see mine is missing and the part of the lid is highly butchered where the latch is mounted.

    Thanks, in advance

Here's the latching system on a '35 standard. You could probably get this to work on your car. I got the pieces from I & I.
